August 12, 2006 meeting on Economic Development During a meeting on Economic Progress, organised by CDF, three issues were addressed: 1. CDF explained what it sees as its role and position in the area; 2. The start of the GK Jamboree Hills Village development project was announced and put into perspective. Congressman Prospero 'Butch' Pichay explained what transforming the CadCarMadCarLan area into a Special Economic Zone means. Elements of this plan are:	The follow-up CDF will set-up a Round Table Meeting with all parties involved to discuss the future of Agriculture in the region. This meeting is scheduled for September 14. On September 15, a kick-off meeting is scheduled for the regional Business Plan Competition. Invitations for that meeting will go to: Mayors, SB-members, Barangay Captains and the 4th grade students of the both Colleges. We will create an overview of all (Eco-)tourism sites and activities in the region. September 14, 2006 Meeting on Agriculture During a meeting with the agriculturists of the municipalities, the province and the region it was agreed that a Master Plan for Agriculture in the CarCanMadCarLan region will be developeed. The plan, covering the periond between 2006 and 2030, will give an overview of the agriculture areas, the most favourable crops or livestock and guidelines for change. The plan will be presented, it was agreed, in November to the mayors and other stakeholders. September 15, 2006 Start session on the CDF Business Plan Competition 4th Yeaar students and represeentatives were informed about the objectives and rules of the CDF Business Plan Competition. The first round (development of Business Ideas) will start on October 1.



	The development of an airport in Madrid; To ensure 24/7 supply of electricity at competitave rates to businesses throughout the region; Strenghten the agriculture sector of the CarCanMadCarLan Economy and ensuring that agriculture areas can not be sold off and used for other purposes. Therefore the deveelopment of a regional Agriculture land Use Plan is necessary. Push the region as one of the Eco-tourism area of the country.
