The objectives of CDF are:

Goal 1:

To adopt the GK: Jamboree Hills Village in Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, as the Gawad Kalinga model site of the CDF

Goal 2:

A. Business

To organize business and investment fora to enhance the capacity of the local entrepreneurs in coming up with a viable business plans and showcase the investment potentials of the area; institutionalize the “BALIK” (Balik Action for Livelihood and Investment among Kinfolks) Program as an investment highway for CarCanMadCarLanons here and abroad; and help in clarifying the roles of key players in the business realm, e.g. government, business groups, academe, etc.; Business Policy Advocacy.

B. Eco-tourism

To play as a coordinative body in planning, promotion and development of tour sites in CarCanMadCarLan, and the recruitment, training, maintenance and management of tour guides in the area in collaboration with the member- LGUs, the Provincial, Regional and National Tourism Offices, the Academe and the other tourism stakeholders in the area.

Goal 3:

To construct a www link and facilitate partnership fora as a strategy to forge partnership institutional arrangements and come-up with a computer-based database of partners.
